Here's a first look at some of the specials and award shows that will
air on NBC during the upcoming fall season. This info is directly from
the NBC press release:
NBC 75th ANNIVERSARY SPECIAL
NBC offers a landmark extravaganza from the first network in the
history of broadcasting with the "NBC 75th Anniversary Special." The
black--tie, three--hour celebration will be telecast live and one time
only as it unfolds from NBC New York's famed Studio 8--H. NBC stars
from the past and present - and an audience of celebrities, dignitaries
and special invited guests - will be there to mark the greatest moments
in the network's three--quarters of a century of history as well as
to enjoy an evening full of laughter, reunions and surprises. Lorne
Michaels ("Saturday Night Live," "Saturday Night Live 25th Anniversary
Special") is the executive producer, and Andrew Solt ("History of Rock
'n' Roll") is the co--executive producer of the special from NBC Studios.
TAKE 75
The funny flip side of the "NBC 75th Anniversary Special," "Take
75" is a one--hour special that celebrates the funniest, wildest NBC
outtakes - botches and blunders from the network's news, entertainment
and sports divisions. It's a hilarious collection of slips caught on
camera - including some never seen - by the stars, newscasters, performers
and athletes. As a special bonus, viewers will also witness unintentionally
humorous outtakes from their own local NBC affiliate stations.
50 YEARS OF NBC LATE NIGHT
As America's late--night leader, NBC presents its all--time memorable
and funniest moments in this two--hour special hosted by Conan O'Brien,
host of NBC's "Late Night with Conan O'Brien." On location from New
York and Burbank, the show will present highlights from "The Tonight
Show," featuring the four great hosts through the last half--century:
Steve Allen, Jack Paar, Johnny Carson and Jay Leno. In addition, there
will be unforgettable clips and remembrances of landmark NBC late--night
series such as "The Tomorrow Show with Tom Snyder," "SCTV," "Later with
Bob Costas," "Later with Greg Kinnear," "Late Night with David Letterman,"
"Late Night with Conan O'Brien," and "Saturday Night Live." Lorne Michaels
("Saturday Night Live," "Saturday Night Live 25th Anniversary Special")
is the executive producer, and Andrew Solt ("History of Rock 'n' Roll")
and Jeff Ross ("Late Night with Conan O'Brien") are the co--executive
producers of this NBC Studios production.
INSTYLE: CELEBRITY HOMES
The popular magazine known for its unprecedented access to celebrities
presents an intimate, revealing look in a one--hour special that shows
how and where some of Hollywood's hottest celebrities live. The stars
talk candidly about their own personal tastes, unique decorating styles
and their favorite ways to entertain at home. Martha Nelson, Krysia
Plonka, Eamon Harrington and John Watkin are the executive producers
of the one--hour special from InStyle in association with Planet Grande
Productions.

THE 113TH TOURNAMENT OF ROSES PARADE
Over a million spectators line the streets of Pasadena, California,
every January 1 and millions more tune in to this New Year's Day tradition
that spans over a century and grows more diverse, colorful and creative
every year. Parading down Colorado Boulevard is a spectacular display
of marching bands, equestrian teams and lavish floats, each decorated
from head to toe in flowers carefully adorned by thousands of volunteers.
The live, 90--minute special is produced by NBC Entertainment.
