Here's a first look at some of the specials and award shows that will air on NBC during the upcoming fall season. This info is directly from the NBC press release:

NBC 75th ANNIVERSARY SPECIAL
NBC offers a landmark extravaganza from the first network in the history of broadcasting with the "NBC 75th Anniversary Special." The black--tie, three--hour celebration will be telecast live and one time only as it unfolds from NBC New York's famed Studio 8--H. NBC stars from the past and present - and an audience of celebrities, dignitaries and special invited guests - will be there to mark the greatest moments in the network's three--quarters of a century of history as well as to enjoy an evening full of laughter, reunions and surprises. Lorne Michaels ("Saturday Night Live," "Saturday Night Live 25th Anniversary Special") is the executive producer, and Andrew Solt ("History of Rock 'n' Roll") is the co--executive producer of the special from NBC Studios.


TAKE 75
The funny flip side of the "NBC 75th Anniversary Special," "Take 75" is a one--hour special that celebrates the funniest, wildest NBC outtakes - botches and blunders from the network's news, entertainment and sports divisions. It's a hilarious collection of slips caught on camera - including some never seen - by the stars, newscasters, performers and athletes. As a special bonus, viewers will also witness unintentionally humorous outtakes from their own local NBC affiliate stations.


50 YEARS OF NBC LATE NIGHT
As America's late--night leader, NBC presents its all--time memorable and funniest moments in this two--hour special hosted by Conan O'Brien, host of NBC's "Late Night with Conan O'Brien." On location from New York and Burbank, the show will present highlights from "The Tonight Show," featuring the four great hosts through the last half--century: Steve Allen, Jack Paar, Johnny Carson and Jay Leno. In addition, there will be unforgettable clips and remembrances of landmark NBC late--night series such as "The Tomorrow Show with Tom Snyder," "SCTV," "Later with Bob Costas," "Later with Greg Kinnear," "Late Night with David Letterman," "Late Night with Conan O'Brien," and "Saturday Night Live." Lorne Michaels ("Saturday Night Live," "Saturday Night Live 25th Anniversary Special") is the executive producer, and Andrew Solt ("History of Rock 'n' Roll") and Jeff Ross ("Late Night with Conan O'Brien") are the co--executive producers of this NBC Studios production.


INSTYLE: CELEBRITY HOMES
The popular magazine known for its unprecedented access to celebrities presents an intimate, revealing look in a one--hour special that shows how and where some of Hollywood's hottest celebrities live. The stars talk candidly about their own personal tastes, unique decorating styles and their favorite ways to entertain at home. Martha Nelson, Krysia Plonka, Eamon Harrington and John Watkin are the executive producers of the one--hour special from InStyle in association with Planet Grande Productions.

MACY'S THANKSGIVING DAY PARADE
The 75th anniversary of America's favorite Thanksgiving Day parade features all the spectacular pageantry, fun and surprises that have made this annual New York City extravaganza a perennial favorite. Heralding the start of the Christmas season, this beloved holiday parade features colorful grand floats, lively marching bands, amazing character balloons and special performances by some of today's hottest stars and Broadway performers, plus an appearance by Santa Claus. Brad Lachman is the executive producer of this live, three--hour special from NBC Entertainment.


CHRISTMAS IN ROCKEFELLER CENTER
America's most famous Christmas tree is lit in Rockefeller Center in this annual holiday special featuring chart--topping musical artists, world--class ice skaters, the casts of Broadway musicals and the world--famous Radio City Rockettes. The one--hour event is produced by NBC Entertainment in association with WNBC.


THE 113TH TOURNAMENT OF ROSES PARADE
Over a million spectators line the streets of Pasadena, California, every January 1 and millions more tune in to this New Year's Day tradition that spans over a century and grows more diverse, colorful and creative every year. Parading down Colorado Boulevard is a spectacular display of marching bands, equestrian teams and lavish floats, each decorated from head to toe in flowers carefully adorned by thousands of volunteers. The live, 90--minute special is produced by NBC Entertainment.


THE 59TH ANNUAL GOLDEN GLOBE AWARDS
It's Hollywood's biggest party of the year, featuring some of Hollywood's top film and television stars, like this year's attendees Tom Hanks, Julia Roberts, Martin Sheen and Sarah Jessica Parker. Presented by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, this glitzy gala recognizes outstanding achievement in both film and television. NBC is also planning a one--hour arrivals special live from the red carpet to give viewers their first look at the fashions and exclusive interviews with today's hottest celebrities. Dick Clark and Barry Adelman are the executive producers of this three--hour special from dick clark productions.


MACY'S 4TH OF JULY SPECTACULAR
Live from New York City comes this newest summer tradition featuring Broadway musical performances, celebrity appearances and more than 20 minutes of fireworks over the skies of New York. John Irwin, Allison Bristol and Bill Schermerhorn are the executive producers of this one--hour live special from NBC Entertainment in association with Broadway Video.


THE 54TH ANNUAL PRIMETIME EMMY AWARDS
"The Primetime Emmy Awards" returns to NBC in September 2002, honoring the year's greatest achievements in acting, directing, writing and other categories with the industry's most coveted award, the Emmy. The annual event features the brightest stars from both sides of the camera as they come together to honor and celebrate television excellence.


JENNIFER LOPEZ SPECIAL
Entertainment sensation Jennifer Lopez, a multi--platinum recording artist and Golden Globe--nominated actress of such films as "Selena" and the upcoming "Angel Eyes," will showcase her talents in a musical special this fall on NBC. In addition, NBC will air three more specials produced by Nuyorican Productions and Handprint Entertainment. Lopez will only star in the initial special.
