Fans of TLC's "What Not to Wear" can grab the popcorn and a good seat on the couch as the 5th season begins with a treat. Stacy and Clinton show us how an episode is put together in the special, "What Not To Wear: Behind the Seams."

The show follows three different episodes being filmed to answer all of your questions. We see how 'contributors' are chosen, what they go through when meeting with Stacy and Clinton, shopping, hair and makeup and the reveal. It makes an interesting hour and should make all WNTW fans happy.

A lot of viewers have questions about how the show is put together and what a contributor goes through when filming. The show decided to put together this special to celebrate the 5th season and finally answer the questions.

Ever wonder how clothes are chosen for the 360 degree mirror, what stores the 'contributors' shop at or how long does it take to film a segment(just to name a few)? How much does Stacy and Clinton partake in being stylists for the contributor or provide input for a show (answer: a lot). These and many more are answered in this special.

I remember a couple of years ago there was a special about the show and at that time only one person had said "no" to the offer of the $5000 makeover. We learn from Clinton that a woman in Atlanta has also turned them down. The three 'contributors' that allow their makeovers to be double-taped help move the special along by letting us know that there are '9 people watching me try on clothes' or 'a lot of people are following me around.' It makes the event more realistic for the home viewer, but much more overwhelming for the fashion victim, who dresses like they do for a reason.


And, who doesn't love Stacy London and Clinton Kelly? This special lets us into their heads a little bit and we see how they tick. The two get along great and have fabulous chemistry. They bounce off each other with their comments and fashion sense like an old fashion comedy team.

Sometimes you can tell they just want to crack up at their own jokes, and have on many occasions. I liked the fact that they provide their email addresses to all contributors and keep in contact with a lot of them.

Of course, the most important question everyone wants to know about Stacy is: What's that gray streak in her hair and why is it not always there? This very important answer is found by watching the special.
