| Bio: Best known for being a member
of the world-renowned pop group The Spice Girls, Melanie Brown is now
making a name for herself separate of her band. Since The Spice Girls
ended, Brown has released 3 solo albums, including her debut entitled
"Hot" in October 2000, which produced 3 Top 5 singles, and “LA State Of
Mind” in 2005.
Brown also has a successful career as TV presenter, actress, and theatre
performer. In 2001, her show “This Is My Moment” was a great success,
which she followed up with a documentary about African voodoos, also
receiving great reviews. In 2002, she was one of the protagonists of
the BBC3's sitcom “Burn It” and made her theater debut with "The Vagina
Monologues" in London. From April to September 2004, Brown performed
in the famous musical "Rent" on Broadway, where she played the role
of Mimi, a drug-addicted young girl, and received many accolades.
In addition to television, Brown can also be seen in the horror film
"LD 50: Lethal Dose" and the comedy "The Seat Filler," co-produced by
Will Smith and also starring Destiny's Child member Kelly Rowland.
Brown recently launched her own fashion line, “Catty Couture”, including
a wide range of clothing with her signature animal prints. She also
took her passion for fashion to lingerie becoming the new face of “Ultimo”
lingerie in the UK. Most currently she can be seen on Access Hollywood
as the “Dancing With the Stars” correspondent and co-hosting "The Singing
Office" on TLC, with Joey Fatone.
Brown currently resides in Los Angeles with her husband and children.
