Biography:
While some may consider him a newcomer, Josh Radnor has been preparing
for his career as an actor for quite some time. The Columbus, Ohio,
native got his start in high school theatre after tagging along
to an autidion with a friend and deciding that he could do as well
as some of the other auditioners.
After landing the role of Will in "Oklahoma," Radnor went on to
star as the Master of Ceremonies in "Cabaret" and became hooked
on acting. He joined a local theatre group and performed in a few
more musicals before entering Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio, Paul
Newman's alma mater. Upon graduation, Radnor moved to New York City
and attended graduate school at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts.
His first professional job was at the Manhattan Theatre Club, where
he began as an understudy but quickly earned a feature role. During
the next two years, he worked consistently in regional and off-Broadway
theatre. His first television role was on the series "Welcome to
New York." Radnor recently completed an episode of "Law & Order."
His
first feature film role was as a tour guide in the parody film "Not
Another Teen Movie."
Besides
acting, Radnor's greatest passions are reading and writing short
stories. He is also fascinated by the world of politics. His father
is a trial attorney, and his mother is a high school guidance counselor.
