Biography: Brian Wiltshire
stars as Charlie Gideon, the 12-year-old son of Dr. Ben Gideon, on the
ABC Television Network's new, hour-long medical drama, "Gideon's Crossing."
Since he was three years old, Brian has had a knack for entertaining.
A natural tumbler, he would do incredible flips to whoever would be
audience to his antics. At five years old, a professional power tumbling
troupe recruited him and taught him to do aerials correctly.
While Brian followed his athletic interests, his two older sisters
pursued acting. Observing their successes, Brian developed a deep interest
in the performing arts. He began tap and hip-hop dancing with his sisters
and won a few competitions with them and as a soloist.
Eventually, Brian developed his own interest in acting. He did some
background roles in two of Spike Lee's films ("Crooklyn" and "Clockers").
His break came in 1999 when he landed a principal role in a television
commercial. Shortly thereafter, he portrayed Marquette, Little Richard's
younger brother, in 2000's "Little Richard," directed by Robert Townsend.
Brian, who is happy to be able to start his college fund at such an
early age, is very grateful for the opportunities afforded him thus
far and looks forward to a long acting career.
