Synopsis: From J.J. Abrams, the creator of the critically acclaimed series "Felicity," comes a new one-hour drama that delves into the dichotomous life of Sydney Bristow (Jennifer Garner, "Pearl Harbor," "Dude, Where’s My Car?"), a 26-year-old graduate student secretly working as an international spy.

Sydney is a seemingly unlikely heroine. Smart, pretty and gregarious, her everyday academic life of classes and friends is a marked contrast to her role as a top agent for a clandestine outfit of spies known simply as the Agency. Recruited freshman year, the then shy and lonely Sydney jumped at the chance to be part of something greater. Little did she know how adept she’d be at espionage or how much she’d love it.

Involving missions of national security and methods that circumvent international laws, the Agency requires a lifetime commitment from their operatives. It was a commitment Sydney was willing to live with since she believed in the Agency’s agenda. But when her boss Arvin Sloane (Ron Rifkin, "L.A. Confidential") takes deadly measures to stop what he considers a breech of security by Sydney, she questions the Agency’s motives and her loyalty to the cause.

Discovering that her long-estranged father Jack Bristow (Victor Garber, "Titanic," "Annie") is part of the deceit, Sydney forms a new alliance with Agent Vaughn (Michael Vartan, "Never Been Kissed") of the CIA in order to take back control of her life.
