Lizzy is shocked when Bob opens his mouth and words actually come out. Lizzy immediately calls her husband, Walter, and demands that he come home and assure her that she is not going crazy. They decide it is best to keep Bob's amazing verbal ability a secret.

Bob is infatuated with his favorite TV character, "Dougy," and Walter tries to arrange a visit. When a meeting between Walter and Dougy goes wrong and Dougy quits his show, Walter must explain to Bob that Dougy isn't coming to visit and that he isn't even a real person. Devastated by the news, Bob now questions whether any of his favorite "friends" are real.

But after a day of hair cuts, manicures and lattes with his father and grandfather, Bob is more confused than ever.
