Bio:
A full-time student, Kirsten Jonzon currently studies general
sciences at the University of Alberta in Edmonton. A former student
council president who graduated in the academic top ten of her
high school class, Kirsten has received scholarships for academic
excellence and leadership at both the secondary and post-secondary
levels. While hoping to pursue further work in nursing, Kirsten
works in a gastroenterology clinic at the hospital on campus.
In addition
to her studies, Kirsten dances both recreationally and competitively
in ballet, jazz and hip-hop. A dancer since the age of 3, Kirsten
has performed at Disneyworld in Florida and most recently at the
2001 World Track and Field Championships. Kirsten also plays club-level
rugby for the Edmonton Rockers and has toured with the University
of Alberta club team to Vancouver, British Columbia and Arizona.
Kirsten describes
herself as fun, outgoing and vivacious. She has volunteered at
the Red Cross Blood Donor Clinic and at Fort Edmonton Park as
an interpreter.
