Bio:
Born and raised in Kentucky, Jill Pellerin currently works as
a dental hygienist in Hilton Head, South Carolina. Having earned
a B.A. in French from Transylvania University in Lexington, Kentucky,
she returned to school at age 39 to earn her second degree, this
time in Dental Hygiene, at Armstrong State College.
In addition
to her day-to-day work in South Carolina, Jill recently organized
the first dental clinic and supply delivery to a Pokot orphanage
in Kenya, where she treated 130 orphans and showed them how to
care for their teeth. Prior to becoming a hygienist, Jill was
self-employed as a custom framer and artist.
Jill is an
avid triathlete, having competed in triathlons for the past 16
years. She has taught canoeing in North Carolina, and competes
in equestrian events including cross-country jumping. She also
enjoys watercolor painting and gardening. Jill describes herself
as optimistic, competitive and persistent. Her motto is "Be true,
give it everything you have, and always see the good lining to
everything."
She currently
lives in Bluffton, South Carolina, with her daughter Lindsay.
