'Funny Business' - A 1988 PBS Special Featuring Comedian George Miller

In this era of a seemingly endless amount of information about television being available online, you would think it's difficult to be stumped about any program. But this 1988 PBS special is just about as close to unknown as you can find.

"Funny Business" takes a look at the then-current stand-up comedy scene through the eyes of comedian George Miller. If you watched NBC late night talk shows in the mid-to-late 1980s, you saw a lot of Miller. His quietly sarcastic and self-depreciating style was a natural fit for Johnny Carson and David Letterman's comedic sensibilities and he was a frequent guest on both their shows.

This special has a wealth of great stuff for comedy fans, with behind-the-scenes looks of the late night talk shows, some great interview footage with David Letterman and a great scene of Robert Morton sitting down with Miller to go over his material before an appearance on Letterman's show.
