CES2015: The French Invent The Perfect Belt For Any Middle-Aged TV Critic

Watching a lot of television can bring many wonderful things to your life. But one of the common downsides to all of this great entertainment is a slightly bigger waistline. If you've been hoping that technology would come to rescue you, than let me introduce you to the best invention for fat guys since the debut of expandable pants.
All hail the smart belt.
On Sunday, French startup Emiota unviled the "Belty" at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas and it's a game-changer for doughy middle-aged TV critics (not that I know any, of course). The Belty comes equipped with a gyroscope, an accelerator and small sensors that can track your movement throughout the day. The belt automatically adjusts itself based on your food intake and overall fitness level throughout the day. The data it collects is then pushed to an app, which can offer suggestions on improving your daily exercise. It can also gently tighten a bit, just as a reminder that it's time for you to step away from the TV screen.
Sadly, the model on exhibition at the CES is only a prototype, though a spokesperson for Emiota promises the belt is the "future of wearable technology."
