Hey, It's Time For #TCA15!

Wednesday is the first day of the Television Critics Association Winter 2015 Press Tour and these twice-a-year industry/press meetups always leave with me a bit of a quandary on how to cover the event. I'm not a member of the TCA and I've been pretty vocal in the past with my thoughts on the why I think the press tours are an anachronism.
But here we are again with another round and I find myself in the same situation as a lot of network executives. I don't exactly think the Press Tour is worthwhile, but if it's going to happen I have to at least attempt to acknowledge it. At the very least, there'll be some casting news, a few boneheaded questions from critics and a network executive or two who will attempt to gloss over some gaping problem in their schedule.
If something big comes out of the TCA I'll be writing about it, but otherwise I'll leave the reporting to those critics who are actually in attendance. I'm at the Consumer Electronics Show for another day, before heading to L.A. for some interviews and a set visit. And then off to Austin for a couple of days before heading back to the Twin Cities. So you'll see plenty of media and television news from me, just not any from the TCA Press Tour.
The best place to follow the conversation about the Tour is on Twitter. Although be prepared to hear TV talk interspersed with a lot of moaning about how long they've been there, the monotony of the food and the unfairness of having so much good TV to write about each week. Oh, come on. As Don Rickles would say, I kid because I love...
Here are some of the talented folks to follow if you want to keep up with the press tour. I'm pretty sure they'll be there and if not, they're still worth following.
