The HLN 'Morning Express' Take On Scooby-Doo Wins The 'Bad Halloween Sketch' War Of 2015

Each year, nearly every morning television news show puts together some awkwardly produced Halloween "bit." Mostly, the sketches involve a few ill-fitting costumes and and acting that would make Ed Wood cringe. But this year HLN's MORNING EXPRESS WITH ROBIN MEADE has set the bar for cringe-worthy Halloween fun with this video sketch that involves a bit of cross-promotion with sister Turner Network property Scooby-Doo.

This isn't just badly acted or written in a style that would best fit a 1980s high school AV club film. No, what makes this work is that everyone involved throws themselves into the sketch with an odd giddiness that overpowers the feeling of nausea that might otherwise come from watching this 2:41 video.

Congrats to everyone. It's not easy to come off stranger than Al Roker.
