The Official Top 20 Best-Selling Cassettes In The UK Of 2019 (So Far)

Nostalgia has helped the physical record business make a comeback, so I suppose it makes sense that the cassette tape is also making a modest resurgence. The sales numbers are still a sliver of the overall music sales market, but in the U.K., cassette sales in 2018 were the highest they have been since 2004. 

According to BPI and Official Charts Company data, 26,000 cassettes have been sold in the U.K. so far in 2019 and the Top 20 sales list is a mix of current artists and acts with a faithful fanbase. And since it's the U.K., a lot of Kylie Monogue.
