New American TV Dramas Licensed Overseas

The new fall broadcast television season begins in earnest next week, and as those premieres approach the various studios are also nailing down
international distribution deals.

A flurry of deals were announced over the weekend, including ones for shows such as BLINDSPOT, LIMITLESS and QUANTICO.

* UKTV has acquired exclusive U.K. and Northern Irish rights to a trio of new dramas from ABC Studios series for its Watch and Alibi channels. CODE BLACK will premiere on Watch beginning in October and CRIMINAL MINDS: BEYOND BORDERS will premiere in February, 2016. QUANTICO will air on Alibi beginning in January 2016.

* FOX TV Sweden has licensed the new drama LIMITLESS from CBS Studios. It will premiere on FOX in Sweden on October 12th.

* Australian broadcaster Seven has picked up local rights for the drama BLINDSPOT from Warner Bros. International Television Distribution. Seven had previously closed deals for QUANTICO, HEROES RERBORN and THE PLAYER.
