Michael Jackson
As you might expect, a number of broadcast networks and cable news outlets are planning extended coverage of the death of singer Michael Jackson.

ABC News has scheduled a primetime news special on the life of the singer, which will air at 9:00 PM ET. The network will reportedly draw on footage from several pivotal interviews Jackson gave to ABC over the years, including a high-profile interview with Diane Sawyer.

NBC had already scheduled a primetime special on Farrah Fawcett, and the network has announced that special has been expanded to two hours and will cover both Fawcett and Jackson's deaths.

CNN and MSNBC are both promising extensive live coverage throughout the primetime hours, with CNN scrambling to book a special retrospective edition of "Larry King Live."

A spokesperson for Fox News Channel stated that the network will obviously cover the death in depth, but declined to elaborate on the network's plans.
