Review: 'Your Kid Ate What?'
Reviews - TV Shows
tlcIf you're a parent and already paranoid about the dangers your child can find around the house, then I would suggest staying away from the new TLC special "Your Kid Ate What?"

The one-hour special highlights five cases where a child iingested some weird or unusual item (or items) and then struggled to survive the experience. From the young baby who was almost killed by a pink sequin to the young girl who swallowed rat poison like it was a snack food, all of these stories are guaranteed to scare the hell out of any parent unfortunate enough to watch the show.

Now if you don't have kids (or don't run a daycare business on the side), you'll probably find these cases pretty compelling. It's amazing to discover just how inventive the young ones can be when they're getting into something that can hurt them.

Granted, some of the reinactment acting is pretty bad, and some of the hospital sets seem to be used on every story. But overall, "Your Kid Ate What?" is a pretty good way to distract yourself for an hour.

"Your Kid Ate What?" premieres on TLC on Sunday, August 30th, 2009.
