Music
superstar Celine Dion returns to performing, after a two-year
hiatus, on the new entertainment special CELINE DION: A NEW DAY
HAS COME, to be broadcast Sunday, April 7 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT)
on the CBS Television Network. Grammy Award winners Destiny's
Child guest star.
Dion will
perform some of her greatest hit songs including a movie medley
of "Because You Loved Me," "Beauty and the Beast" and "My Heart
Will Go On," as well as songs from her new album, A New Day Has
Come, which will be released in the United States on March 26.
She will also perform "Emotion" (from Destiny's Child Survivor
CD) and "When the Wrong One Loves You Right" (from A New Day Has
Come) with Destiny's Child.
Celine Dion
has sold more than 140 million albums worldwide. She has won five
Grammy Awards: Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group in 1992
for "Beauty and the Beast" with Peabo Bryson, Album of the Year
and Best Pop Album in 1996 for Falling Into You and Record of
the Year and Best Female Pop Performance in 1998 for "My Heart
Will Go On," the theme from the movie "Titanic." Her hit recordings
also include "The Power of Love," "It's All Coming Back to Me
Now," "If You Asked Me To," "That's the Way It Is" and "Because
You Loved Me."
Destiny's
Child earned a Grammy in 2000 for Best R&B Performance by a Duo
or Group with Vocal for "Say My Name."
