Movies And Specials: Cupid And Cate

Synopsis: This Hallmark Hall of Fame presentation is a drama about Cate (Parker), the youngest of the four lively DeAngelo sisters, is searching for her place in life -- mostly due to her strained and combative relationship with her overbearing, widowed father, Dominic (Bosco). She spends her days in the unsuccessful vintage clothing store she owns and her evenings with her decent but unimaginative fiancé.

Nothing would make her sisters, Francesca (Neuwirth), a well-respected physician; Annette (Luker), a perfect suburban Martha Stewart, and Cynthia (Going), a top model and businesswoman, happier than if Cate left her fiancé, got a new job and reconciled with their father. Against her will and better judgment, Cate attends her father's birthday party at which Cynthia introduces her to Harry (Gallagher), a witty and totally endearing man. At first, Cate won't allow herself to fall in love, but when she finally succumbs to her feelings, it is Harry's support and insight that help her understand her father and ultimately find direction in her life.
