Synopsis:
MOMS
ON STRIKE is a family comedy about a working mom who goes on strike
in hopes that her husband and three kids will start to appreciate
her. Pam Harris (Faith Ford) awakes at 6:00 AM every morning to
make breakfast, pack lunches and drive the morning carpool before
going to her 30-hour-a-week job. One day on the way to school,
she and her kids spot a group of picketing janitors.
Pam explains
to her kids that strikes aren’t just about wages, they’re also
about getting more respect and appreciation. Exhausted and frustrated
with her husband (Tim Matheson) and children who constantly take
her for granted, Pam mounts a personal strike. With mom on strike,
the Harris family has no other option but to call on Grandma Betty
(Florence Henderson) to help them run the household.
A few days
later, Pam is shocked when a local newspaper covers the story
and it turns into a full-fledged, national campaign led by the
First lady herself.
