Synopsis:
Chuck
Norris (Walker,
Texas Ranger) reprises his role as Joshua McCord in THE PRESIDENT'S
MAN: A LINE IN THE SAND, an action-packed adventure to be broadcast
as the "CBS Sunday Movie," Sunday, Jan. 20 (9:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT)
on the CBS Television Network. The fictional drama stars Norris
as the United States president's highly classified secret agent
who is called into action to stop terrorists from detonating a
nuclear bomb and destroying a major U.S. city. Robert Urich (Emeril)
Judson Mills (Walker,
Texas Ranger) and Jennifer Tung ("Star Trek IX," "Armageddon")
also star.
By day, Joshua
McCord (Norris) is one of Dallas University's most popular professors.
In times of crisis, he is the United States Government's secret
weapon. Joshua relies on his right-hand man, Deke Slater (Mills),
and his computer and technical genius daughter, Que (Tung), to
go on special, highly confidential missions for the president
(Urich).
A team of
terrorists stages a hi-tech break-in at a museum, dropping wires
from the roof to the floor of the great hall. They are after three
statues among the many on display. The targeted statues contain
the components to construct a nuclear bomb.
When the terrorist
group makes its demands, the military unsuccessfully attempts
to kidnap the organization's well-protected leader for leverage.
Desperate, the government calls upon Joshua, who is now faced
with the most challenging mission -- trying to locate a bomb set
to explode somewhere in the U.S.
To complicate
matters, tensions rise when Que realizes that she has feelings
for Deke but won't acknowledge them.
