Synopsis: Through the exclusive recordings of Diana, which she
taped secretly inside Kensington Palace, the special will provide new
insight into the extraordinary life of this beloved woman. Within the
two-hour program, Diana will tell her story beginning with her life
before becoming a Princess, through her battle with bulimia and her
suicide attempts, to intimate details of Prince Charles's longtime affair
with Camilla Parker Bowles that haunted their marriage. The exclusive
footage reveals a relaxed, candid Diana at times laughing and interacting
with her young sons, illustrating the lighter side of a woman who maintained
a very reserved public persona.
In addition to the exclusive recordings of Diana, the special will also
feature interviews with some of Diana's closest friends and confidants,
many of whom are speaking for the first time about her life and death.
Additionally, the special will revisit some of Diana's most memorable
moments, although her own words will reveal that even her most joyous
moments were often tainted by the secrets of the royal family.
