| Synopsis: Kay Panabaker stars as
14-year-old Jamie, who is frustrated by the cruelty of the popular crowd
at her school, especially nasty Sawyer. She writes about it in her journal, giving all the characters fictional names and characterizing herself as is--a girl who is popular and cool and not afraid of anything. When her journal is accidentally turned in as an English assignment , she winds up winning a writing contest and getting published. Jamie soon becomes a media darling as everyone loves her literary alter ego--and is talk to Jamie, guiding her every move. At first, it's wonderful, but things quickly spiral out of control. Jamie loses touch with her real friends, her family gets caught up in the hype and she fights more and more with her brother. Ultimately, Jamie realizes that it is taking over her life and turning her into something she doesn't want to be.
