Roswell: Cover-Ups And Close Encounters
Synopsis:
A
two-hour special, hosted by Jonathan Frakes ("Star Trek: The
Next Generation"), which takes an in depth look at the 50 years
since the supposed crash landing of an alien spaceship in the desert
of New Mexico during the first week of July, 1947. Previously discussed
mostly by conspiracy theorists over the Internet, the "Area
51" theory gained widespread public awareness from the 1996
blockbuster movie "Independence Day."
The special
includes interviews with the surviving "witnesses" and
explores the country's mindset at the time of the incident. Also
investigated will be the events of the past 50 years that helped
make "Roswell" the poster child for alien conspiracy theories
and captured the attention of America.
Interviews with
alien/UFO experts, celebrity thoughts on extratrerrestrial life
and interviews with government and military officials, including
past and present members of Congress, will provide insight and access
to previously unreleased information on the possibility of alien
visitations. Evidence of America's fascination with UFO's and alien
life will be provided through clips.
