Synopsis:
"Too
Young to Be a Dad" is an emotional tale of teen pregnancy, told
from the unique point of view of a young man and his parents.
Elementary school teacher Susan Freeman (Kathy Baker) and her
husband, Dan (Bruce Davison), are the proud parents of Matt (Paul
Franklin Dano), a freshman honor student and an all-around good
kid.
After Matt's
straight A's land him a gig as the tutor of a pretty fellow student
named Francesca, their study breaks quickly turn into make-out
sessions and, eventually, a full-blown sexual relationship.
Uncomfortable
with the situation, Matt cools things down, only to discover that
Francesca is pregnant. Her parents are determined to put the baby
up for adoption, but Matt wants to "do the right thing" and marry
Francesca. Worried about her son and soon-to-be grandchild, Susan
must put aside her own disappointment and regret and help Matt
make a decision that will change the rest of their lives.
