Verdict Is In: Judge Marilyn Milian of "The People's Court''

MIAMI--November
29th, 2001--Judge Marilyn Milian, presiding Judge on television's
"The People's Court,'' and husband, prosecuting attorney John
Schlesinger, welcomed their daughter Sofia Elena Schlesinger on
Wednesday, November 28 at 2:20 p.m.
Sofia Elena,
who weighed 7 lbs., 10 oz at birth, appeared before the Judge
after just five hours of labor.
Sofia joins
two sisters -- Cristina, 5, and Alexandra, 4. Judge Milian and
her family reside in Coral Gables, Florida.
Milian joined
"The People's Court'' last season, first appearing on air in
March 2001. Prior to that, she had been appointed to the Miami
Circuit Court in 1999 by Governor Jeb Bush, where she served in
the Criminal Division. Before that, she spent five years in the
Miami County Court in the Domestic Violence Court and Criminal
and Civil divisions. Before serving in the County Court, Milian
worked for ten years as an Assistant State Attorney for the Dade
County State Attorney's Office (Janet Reno hired her for the position).
