HOLLYWOOD, Calif.--Aug. 1st, 2003--World of Wonder Productions, Inc.,
known for its Emmy and Cable ACE award-winning reality shows for HBO,
Showtime, Bravo and other networks, will produce a reality series of
13 half hour episodes on the adult entertainment industry by focusing
on its top filmmaker, Vivid Entertainment Group.
Production on the series will begin this fall and will cover all aspects
of the making of XXX films, beginning with auditions of women to become
Vivid Girls through to the finished product.
"We plan to tell the story of the adult film industry by tracking
the daily activities of Steven Hirsch, the visionary co-founder and
co-chairman of Vivid," according to World of Wonder executive producer/partner
Fenton Bailey, "We'll watch as potential Vivid Girls are selected, we'll
get to see how new films are planned and made, and really get to know
the unique personalities of the people involved in the making the movies."
"This will be a fly-on-the-wall look at how the most successful company
in the industry actually operates," said Randy Barbato, executive producer/partner
of World of Wonder.
Bailey and Barbato are widely acclaimed for their edgy pop culture
documentaries and features that include the award-winning "Party Monster,"
starring Macaulay Culkin and Chloe Sevigny, "The Eyes of Tammy Faye,"
"Monica in Black and White" and many others. They said the new series
has been pre-sold to Britain's SkyTV and Channel Four and other deals
are also in negotiation. The line producer for the show will be Thairin
Smothers.
"We've been approached by several companies who have wanted to work
with us on a reality series, but we were impressed with World of Wonder's
depth of experience and track record of success and we're delighted
to be working with them, said Mr. Hirsch.
