MuchMusic
USA Takes a Break from School with Alanis Morissette
MuchMusic USA
To Premiere Class Dismissed With Alanis Morissette on December 27th
at 9:00 P.M. EST.
NEW YORK--December
21st, 2001--MuchMusic USA, the nation's only viewer-driven all music
network, is jumping ahead of the traditional music television programming
by bringing its viewers surprise visits and concerts with top artists
straight to their front door.
Class Dismissed
with Alanis Morissette will air on December 27, 2001 at 9:00 p.m.,
EST and is a one-hour show that documents Alanis' visit and performance
for MuchMusic USA contest winner, Elyse Bellamy of Plainfield, VT.
To enter the
contest Elyse and thousands of other Alanis Morissette fans created
their own video of Alanis's hit single "Ironic,'' off the Jagged
Little Pill album on the www.mmusa.tv
Web site. The top forty video entries were posted online where viewers
then voted for twenty-five semi-finalists.
Show documents
Elyse's shock when Alanis Morissette showed up in her high-school
science class to tell her that she is the first place winner of
MuchMusic USA's Class Dismissed contest. After Alanis helped Elyse
finish her science project, the two left school to spend some one-on-one
time hanging out. Later that day Alanis performed in a special concert
for Elyse and her friends at the Town Hall. It was a day that Elyse
and her schoolmates will never forget.
