SHOWTIME NETWORKS RELAUNCHES SHOWTIME 3 AS SHOWTIME SHOWCASE

New York, NY, May 30, 2001 - To further support its Showtime Unlimited portfolio, Showtime Networks Inc. is pleased to unveil "SHOWTIME SHOWCASE," formerly known as SHOWTIME 3. The relaunch is scheduled to begin on July 1.

SHOWTIME SHOWCASE will "showcase" some of the great programming SHOWTIME has to offer with SHOWTIME Originals airing seven days a week in a dedicated prime time (8-11:00 p.m. ET/PT) programming block. Programming includes Showtime Original Series, Showtime Original Pictures and Showtime Special Original Presentations. In fact, July's schedule is jam packed with programming that has won or been nominated for Emmy®, Golden Globe(tm), Peabody, Screen Actors Guild, Golden Satellite, GLAAD Media and Pen Center awards. SHOWTIME Original programming will also air throughout the day and late evening. SHOWTIME SHOWCASE will also entertain viewers with great high-end theatricals like BABETTE'S FEAST, FLAWLESS, WHO'LL STOP THE RAIN and HOUSE OF GAMES airing outside of the dedicated prime time hours. In addition to the programming changes, SHOWTIME SHOWCASE will feature a new logo that incorporates the look and feel of the SHOWTIME brand.

Recently, SHOWTIME renamed two of its other plexes, SHOWTIME 2 and THE MOVIE CHANNEL 2 to SHOWTIME TOO and TMC Xtra respectively. SHOWTIME also recently launched three new multiplex channels in March. SHOWTIME NEXT, targeting Generation Y viewers, SHOWTIME WOMEN, which features women who are instrumental in moving the story ahead, in front of and behind the scenes, and SHOWTIME FAMILYZONE, which airs only G, PG and select PG13 and TV14 titles for the whole family.

Showtime Networks Inc. (SNI), which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Viacom Inc., owns the premium television networks SHOWTIME, THE MOVIE CHANNEL and FLIX, as well as the multiplex channels SHOWTIME TOO, SHOWTIME SHOWCASE, SHOWTIME EXTREME, SHOWTIME BEYOND, SHOWTIME NEXT, SHOWTIME WOMEN, SHOWTIME FAMILYZONE and TMC Xtra. SNI operates and manages the premium television network SUNDANCE CHANNEL, which is owned by SNI, Robert Redford and Universal Studios.
