TechTV's Leo Laporte to Appear Regularly on ABC's Overnight Show
SAN FRANCISCO, July 15th, 2002 -- TechTV, the only 24-hour cable television
network dedicated to showcasing the impact technology has on our everyday
lives and the world at large, today announced that it has expanded its
agreement with ABC News. In addition to sharing Web editorial with ABCNEWS.com,
TechTV will now provide technology-related programming content for ABC's
"World News Now."
As part of the agreement, Leo Laporte, co-host of TechTV's popular
daily variety show, "The Screen Savers," will appear regularly
on "World News Now," which airs every weekday from 2:00 a.m.
to 3:30 a.m. on ABC. Laporte will lead technology segments relevant
to viewer's interests and in line with the day's news topics. In addition,
TechTV will provide feature segments on the latest developments in the
world of technology, from product reviews to biotech to the latest in
digital music.
