Synopsis: Kathleen Quinlan (Apollo 13) stars in a drama about an unlikely group of lawyers who band together to form a new firm after one woman's husband leaves her and takes their practice with him.

Lynn Holt (Quinlan) may have lost her husband and her law firm within 24 hours, but she hasn't lost the guts that got her this far -- or her sense of humor. She also hasn't lost Dani Lipton (Julie Warner), one of her best lawyers, who's decided not to defect.

The morning after her husband breaks the news to her, Lynn scrambles to find attorneys, clients - anything to make the month's mortgage payment that her husband conveniently left behind.

She starts by hiring Randi King (Dixie Carter), her new divorce attorney, who has suffered her own marital headaches and is now drawing on that angst to jumpstart her career. Against her better judgment, Lynn also brings on Rex Weller (Christopher McDonald), a guy whose reputation has continued to suffer since his firm went belly up and he was reduced to making infomercials.

They might be damaged goods, but they're in this together and positively hellbent on making the most of an unexpected second chance.
