Synopsis:
Tracee Ellis Ross stars in Girlfriends, a new UPN comedy
which follows the friendships, romances, careers, high times and
hard knocks of four African American women.
Joan, Toni,
Maya and Lynn may not always like each other -- sometimes friendship
means having to say "I'm sorry" about every 15 minutes -- but they
love and rely on each other -- and sometimes beat up on each other
-- no matter what man is complicating their lives at the moment.
Joan is a skillful
attorney on the fast track; Toni is a realtor who hopes her track
will lead to a rich husband (preferably one who isn't already married);
Lynn is a perennial student, a rebel fighting for whatever cause
is handy; and Maya is Joan's bluntly honest assistant, not worrying
