Synopsis:
From the Emmy Award-winning creators of NBCs "Will & Grace"
comes this comedy about a talented young TV producer who arrives in
Miami to revamp the lowest-rated morning show in the country. Jake Silver
(Mark Feuerstein, The West
Wing) risks taking the job when he sets eyes on the shows
beautiful, down-to-earth hair stylist Dylan (Ashley Williams, "Indian
Summer"), who wows him like nobody before -- and presents a romantic
challenge.
As Jake sets about to transform
the station into a winner, he inherits a carnival of clowns, including
a pompous host, Gavin Stone, who resents Jake and resists his influence;
Lucia Rojas-Miller (Tessie Santiago, "The Queen of Swords"),
a self-centered and ditzy Cuban-American co-host whos devoted
to her frou-frou mutt, and Frank Alfano (Jere Burns, "Something
So Right"), a highly insecure -- and sometimes groveling -- station
manager.
Making her return to network
television, four-time Emmy Award nominee Suzanne Pleshette ("The
Bob Newhart Show") also stars as Jakes outspoken grandmother,
Claire, who provides him with unwanted but earthy advice; Brooke Dillman
("The Wayne Brady Show") plays Sister Brenda, a seemingly
meek but volcanic nun who territorially guards her weather-casting chores,
and Constance Zimmer is Franks neurotic assistant, Penny. (Courtesy
