Synopsis: Are you up for the physical and mental tests of MOOLAH BEACH? The adventure, thrill and drama of the six-episode teen reality game show begins Saturday, September 8 on Fox Kids Network (Fox Kids) (10:00-10:30 AM/ET) and on Fox Family Channel (12:00 -1:00 PM ET/PT). Unlike any show of its kind, MOOLAH BEACH will premiere in a half-hour format on Fox Kids and an hour format on Fox Family, with each version providing unique perspectives and insights. The half-hour episodes on Fox Kids will focus on the action-packed missions and bizarre dares. The one hour episodes on Fox Family will delve deeper into the drama that ensues and the coalitions forged among the teens. The six-episode reality game show executive produced, developed and hosted by JD Roth ("Fun House," "Zooventure," "Mad Libs") and co-executive produced and based on the concept by Ilyssa Goodman and Nancy Mancini, puts teens to the test with Hawaiian themed physical and mental obstacles in an idyllic and isolated island setting. Through a nationwide contestant search, twelve teens, ages 12-16, were flown to MOOLAH BEACH. They arrived, via ancient Hawaiian outriggers, on one of the most unique stretches of sand in the entire world - the only place to get a savage tan and win one of the largest cash prizes ever awarded on Saturday morning. Upon arrival, the contestants were faced with thirteen distinct idol statues, one of which contained $25,000. The contestants paired off into six coed teams of two, with the goal of completing Hawaiian themed missions to acquire as many idols as possible, thereby increasing their odds of obtaining the one idol with the grand prize. The grand prize will be revealed in the final episode, Saturday, October 13th. Once the teams were selected, the games truly began... Contestants faced two daily missions to accumulate idols and increase their odds of staying on MOOLAH BEACH. Each team formulated strategies and forged relationships to handicap other teams' chances of winning. The missions and rituals included: KAHUNA MISSION - A daily physical mission which determines each teams' odds of being exiled from Moolah Beach. The order in which the teams successfully complete the missions determines the number of color-coded idols each team receives. FACE THE GREAT KAHUNA - After a Kahuna Mission, all teams make offerings of their acquired idols to the Great Kahuna. Randomly one idol at a time drops out of the Great Kahuna. The team whose idol is not picked from the Great Kahuna's mouth will be exiled from the beach. THE SEARCH FOR THE LOST IDOLS - In the final episode only two teams remain to compete for the last four unclaimed idols. This mission, a large-scale treasure hunt, has contestants making a mad scramble over land and sea, using a series of clues to find the remaining idols. TEMPTATION OF THE SPIRITS - Once all of the idols are accounted for, the final ritual begins. Enticing prize packages are offered to the two remaining teams in exchange for handing over select idols to their opponents. Each team must use their clues and strategically decide which idols to risk. THE SPIRITS SPEAK - Host JD Roth slowly eliminates empty idols until only one remains for each team. Both teams dramatically open their last idol and reveal which duo is the grand prize winner--the King and Queen of MOOLAH BEACH.
