Guide: Out Of The Blue (1996)

Synopsis:
The show's main plot centered on a couple of young friends as
they interact with each other through their exciting summer jobs
at Sea World. While
it was in many ways a traditional "teen" show, there were
several novel aspects to the series.
It
was the first "All-Latino" teen series, and it featured
Latinos from different parts of the globe: the United States, Cuba,
Columbia, Spain and Puerto Rico. The show also featured music videos
with original music performed by the cast member (videos where shown
at the end of every episode along with the credits via split screen).
The
original intent was to film the series twice: once in English and
once in Spanish. The plan was dropped however, when it became apparent
that everyone on the cast had their own native vocabulary and style
of speaking Spanish. Those cultural differences ultimately doomed
the "dual-version" plan.
The
series was originally scheduled to return for a second season, but
disagreements between Solomon International Entertainment and Tribune
Entertainment (the two companies involved in the show's production),
eventually led to its cancellation after only one season.
