Synopsis:
Jonathan
Katz ("Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist") brings his incisive
wit and masterful comedic understatement to this new family-friendly
comedy starring Bob Saget ("Full House") and newcomer
Kat Dennings.
High
school is tough enough without the embarrassing addition of your
dad as a teacher. Matt (Saget) is a widower doing his best to raise
two daughters — Sarah (Dennings) and Emily (Brie Larson) — with
both help and hindrance from his live-in dad, Sam (Jerry Adler,
"The Sopranos"). With adolescence rearing its ugly head,
the last thing 15-year-old Sarah needs is her father invading her
space...and mucking up her cool image...every day in his classroom.
Unfortunately, as an English teacher at Sarah’s high school, Mark
is doing just that. Meagan Good ("Eve’s Bayou") and Andy
Kindler ("Everybody Loves Raymond") also star. Like the
freshman hit "Gilmore Girls," "Raising Dad"
was developed with the support of the Family Friendly Forum’s script
development fund.
The
series was created by Jonathan Katz, who serves as executive producer
along with John Markus for Paramount Television.
