A team of young doctors is followed through their residencies at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. First up: A cardiothoracic surgery fellow attempts to procure a donor heart for an infant; an OB/GYN resident consoles a pregnant woman; the chief trauma resident races to the helipad to aid car-crash victims; an ophthalmologist treats a woman who is blind in one eye.
