Synopsis: In this spinoff of NBC’s hit relationship series Meet
My Folks, the adult children of a single father choose
among several suitors to decide which woman will marry their dad.
Though "Dad" will feature the outrageous "secret tasks,"
surprising revelations about each player’s past and "lie detector"
tests that have helped make "Meet My Folks" such a hit with
viewers, the stakes in this show will be much higher as the kids choose
the woman who will become their new stepmom. With an emphasis on romance,
the series will follow the courtship of "Dad" and the contestants
over five episodes, with the kids eliminating women each week until
only two women remain in the final episode. Unexpected guests and a
surprise segment featuring a legion of lie detectors add to the fun
before the kids decide in the finale which woman "Dad" will
marry—and take on a fantasy honeymoon trip. Then their father will propose
to the winner.

The Episodes:
1-1 Episode One--07/14/2003
In this episode, the children - Heidi, Karla, Joe and Chris -- audition
and select 12 women to compete for their Dad, and then surprise the
contestants with group lie detector tests administered by Nick Savastano
(the famed "lie detector guy" from Meet My Folks) and 12 Nick
look-alikes. Those who pass the lie detector test must survive one more
surprise elimination before the eight remaining women finally meet their
handsome and charming bachelor at a mixer. Afterward, one more contestant
is eliminated, leaving only seven to compete for "Dad."

In this second episode of the five-part series, Don Mueller's four children
- Heidi, Karla, Joe and Chris - narrow the field of prospective brides
for their single Dad from seven women to five. But first, the contestants
are put to the test when a "secret task" brunch leads to "dirty little
secrets" being revealed, and then Don spends one-on-one time by the
pool with each of the ladies before the kids decide which women will
take lie detector tests.
