Synopsis: "Young Americans" delves into what happens when blue-collar
meets blue blood, and town clashes with gown, when kids from different
backgrounds come together to realize their dreams. As a local boy at
Rawley Academy on scholarship, Will discovers that he can't hide the
fact that he's completely out of his element, a situation further complicated
by his desire to keep ties to both worlds. As Will struggles in the
world of the elite, his roommate Scout, who belongs to a prominent Kennedy-esque
family, is newly exposed to the working class world when he begins a
tumultuous relationship with local girl Bella.
Our characters embrace this time in their lives as one of hope and
exhilaration, as these are the moments that will shape who they are
and determine their place in the world.
An intelligent, witty and often surprising new drama from notable
features writer Steven Antin.
