Report: Fox May Pick Up 'Last Man Standing' Revival

When ABC canceled Tim Allen's comedy "Last Man Standing" last year after six seasons, some fans argued the show was being cancelled because Allen is a well-known Conservative voice in Hollywood. At the time, CMT negotiated to pick up the series (as it did with "Nashville), but the deal reportedly fell apart over money issues.

Now it appears the show may return to television on rival broadcast network Fox. TV Line is reporting that Fox is in talks to pick up a revival of the show, with Tim Allen already reportedly on board. Negotiations on ongoing with other major cast members as well as some of the show's producers.

The success of the "Will & Grace" and "Roseanne" revivals no doubt made a new incarnation of "Last Man Standing" more financially attractive. Although it's worth noting that in both those cases, ratings for the shows have slumped substantially from their premieres.
