John Lithgow, Russell Brand To Appear On 'The Great Celebrity Bake Off For Stand Up To Cancer'

While those of us in America may not be able to see it anytime soon, TV viewers in the UK will able to a watch a variety of celebrities competing next week in a special season of "The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer." A number of stars, including John Lithgow and Russell Brand will test their sometimes dubious baking skills against each as they raise money for Stand Up For Cancer.
Judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith, plus hosts Sandi Toksvig and Noel Fielding, will do their best to challenge the celebrities over the five episode season, which premieres Tuesday, March 5th on Channel 4. The list of celebrities participating include John Lithgow, Jeremy Paxman, Sally Lindsay, Michelle Keegan, Jon Richardson, Russell Brand, Russell Tovey, Greg Wise, Jess Phillips MP, James Acaster, Big Narstie, Nicola Adams, Katarina Johnson-Thompson, Caroline Flack, Hannah Cockroft, Joe Wilkinson, Johnny Vegas, Georgia Toffolo, Krishnan Guru-Murthy, and Rylan Clark-Neal.
On episode one, Hollywood star John Lithgow, comedian Jon Richardson, Paralympian Hannah Cockroft and actor/comedian Russell Brand will tackle three challenges set by judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith. The first challenge is a dessert classic – brownies. The technical challenge is a handful, and there’s a tough showstopper challenge – a 3-D biscuit scene of their best performance.
There's no word on when or if the episodes will end up airing in the United States, but until then we can just donate some money to Stand Up For Cancer and then eat a plate of brownies while re-watching episodes of "Third Rock From The Sun."
