We Found the Most Popular Birthdays Of The Year

Sharing a birthday with someone guarantees an automatic bond between you. After all, it's only a one in 365 chance, right?

Many researchers and journalists have attempted to find the most common birthday of the year, using U.S. birth data from a number of sources or citing science concerning conception patterns and sexual health. For instance, certain joyous holidays, like New Year's Eve, are—ahem—a more popular time for baby-making, which could help explain why the most popular birth month is September (nine months later).

MooseRoots decided to use a slightly different approach. Using U.S. social security death records spanning from 1936 to 2014, the data experts crunched the numbers to find the most popular birth dates. They then calculated the likeliness of being born on these days. So when late summer rolls around, you may start to notice that more people seem to be blowing out their candles.
