NFL Week 10: Fantasy's Highest-Scoring Lineup
The prominent theme for Week 10 of the NFL season was big plays. Many of the week’s top fantasy performers had highlight touchdowns of 80 yards or more, and it’s tough not to turn in a great fantasy day when that happens.
In an ongoing series, PointAfter will break down the highest-scoring fantasy football lineup in the NFL from week to week. If you started the perfect lineup this week, it would have looked like this.
Note: The lineup will be updated accordingly following Monday Night Football. Fantasy scores referenced are from standard Yahoo leagues.
QB: Kirk Cousins, Washington (28.96 points)
Cousins has not been anything close to reliable as a fantasy quarterback in 2015, but he’s nonetheless made it onto the weekly highest-scoring lineup twice — first doing so in Week 7.
In that affair against Tampa Bay, Cousins threw for three touchdowns and ran for one more. In Week 10 against the Saints, he swapped a rushing TD for a fourth passing touchdown, finishing with 324 yards through the air while completing a surgical 80 percent of his throws.
RB1: Jeremy Langford, Bears (30.20 points)
The rookie running back out of Michigan State has filled in admirably for the injured Matt Forte. After amassing 142 yards from scrimmage last week against San Diego, Langford upped that to 182 yards from scrimmage in Week 10 against the Rams (73 rushing, 109 receiving). He scored touchdowns both on the ground and through the air.
RB2: Charcandrick West, Chiefs (28.10 points)
West is another running back who received an opportunity to start as a result of injury to the man above him on the depth chart (cut to Jamaal Charles’ fantasy owners sighing). West finished with 69 rushing yards and a touchdown, but averaged a paltry 2.9 yards per carry against the stout Broncos defense.
His big fantasy day was anchored by an 80-yard catch and run for a score, when Alex Smith found him wide open on the right side of the field in the fourth quarter.
WR1: Antonio Brown, Steelers (27.90 points)
Landry Jones threw just four passes against the Browns before suffering a left leg injury that knocked him out of the game. In his place hobbled the ailing Ben Roethlisberger, who channeled horror villain Jason Voorhees by shrugging off his own injury.
Picking NYG +7.5 over NE... Forgot to list that one. Also: Ben Roethlisberger is Jason Voorhees and should wear hockey masks on sideline.

Big Ben’s presence (as usual) led to a huge fantasy outing for No. 1 wideout Antonio Brown. The three-time Pro Bowler tallied 10 catches for 139 yards, two touchdowns and one epic front flip.
WR2: Michael Floyd, Cardinals (23.30 points)
Floyd has been targeted far fewer times this season when compared to teammates Larry Fitzgerald and John Brown. He wasn’t much of a factor in the second half against Seattle on Sunday Night Football, but that didn’t matter, as a huge second quarter vaulted him up among the week’s top fantasy scorers. He caught both of his touchdowns within a three-minute span of that quarter and finished the game with 113 yards on seven receptions.
TE: Zach Miller, Bears (22.70 points)
A 31-year-old former sixth-round pick, Miller was owned in 1 percent of Yahoo leagues entering Week 10. He had five receptions on the season heading into the matchup against St. Louis, and matched that output with five catches in the game against the Rams. Those five grabs went for 107 yards and two touchdowns — including an 87-yard catch and run, which featured impressive wheels from the 6’5”, 240-pound tight end.
Flex: Adrian Peterson, Vikings (27.60 points)
The only other time “AP” faced the Raiders in his career was back in 2011, when he ran the ball six times for 26 yards and a touchdown before leaving in the second quarter due to an ankle injury. His second meeting against Oakland was much more favorable. Peterson extended his streak of 100-yard rushing games to three in a row by stampeding to 203 yards on 26 carries (7.8 YPC). He capped the Vikings’ win with an 80-yard sprint for a touchdown with 1:50 left in the game.
D/ST: Kansas City Chiefs (21.00 points)
The Chiefs defense frustrated an increasingly-mortal Peyton Manning into what was most likely the worst game of his entire football career. He completed a shockingly poor 5-of-20 passes for 35 yards, tossing four interceptions in the process.
Manning was then replaced by backup Brock Osweiler, who was also picked off. Add five sacks as well as only 13 points allowed to those five INTs and Kansas City’s defensive unit topped all others in fantasy for Week 10.
K: Cairo Santos, Chiefs (21.00 points)
KC’s kicker had his second huge fantasy outing on Sunday, cashing five of his six field goal attempts — including kicks of 48, 49 and 50 yards — in addition to both of his extra points. He also made the perfect fantasy lineup back in Week 4, when he drilled all seven of his field goals in a loss to Cincinnati. He remains among the crop of NFL kickers (16 total) who hasn’t missed an extra point yet in 2015.
Final Tally:
Kirk Cousins: 28.96
Jeremy Langford: 30.20
Charcandrick West: 28.10
Antonio Brown: 27.90
Michael Floyd: 23.30
Zach Miller: 22.70
Adrian Peterson: 27.60
Chiefs D/ST: 19.00
Cairo Santos: 21.00
Final Score: 228.76 points
