Night Of Original 'Magnum P.I.' To Air On Cozi TV This September

COZI TV is airing a marathon that celebrates some of the best moments and greatest guest stars on the iconic detective series, Magnum, P.I. On September 23 from 7 PM to 12 AM (check local listings), COZI TV will air five episodes of Magnum, P.I. starring Emmy Award-winner Tom Selleck, the network today announced.

“We’ve put together a great collection of episodes that highlight all the things that made the show a hit and an enduring fan favorite.” said Meredith McGinn, Senior Vice President, COZI TV and LX.TV. “The Red Ferrari, the Hawaiian setting, those Dobermans – and above all a great, charismatic cast!”

Episodes included in the marathon are “Echoes of the Mind Pt. 1 and Pt. 2”, (8:00 PM and 9:00 PM) which has Magnum protecting a woman receiving death threats – played by Sharon Stone before she became a breakout star. ”Laura” (10:00 PM) features Frank Sinatra in one of his final major television roles as a retired New York policeman. “Novel Connection”, (7:00 PM) guest stars Angela Lansbury – who also stars on Murder, She Wrote, airing weekdays on COZI TV from 2 PM – 5 PM (check local listings) – as a writer helping to investigate attempts to murder three women.

The series originally premiered in 1980 and ran eight seasons before concluding in 1988 with 162 episodes. Tom Selleck won an Emmy Award in 1984 for his portrayal of Thomas Magnum, while supporting actor John Hillerman also won an Emmy in 1987.

Magnum, P.I. can be seen on COZI TV weekdays at 1 PM and every Sunday night from 10 PM – 12 AM (check local listings).
