Super Bowl LII: Party With Guy Fieri & Some NFL Players For $750

One of the sad truths I've learned from living in a town that's hosting the Super Bowl is that there are going to be all sorts of great events that I won't be able to afford to attend. Not that they're not worth it, but spending a few hundred dollars for a night's entertainment is out of the reach of web monkeys like myself.

If I was going to crack open the wallet this week, I would probably do it for the 2018 Players Tailgate, which takes place right before the Super Bowl. Sure, tickets are $750 a pop, which is a problem since unless I also bought one for my 12-year-old son I'd officially be the worst Super Bowl dad in Minneapolis. But if you can afford to go, this event is likely to be a blast.

Hosted by Bullseye Event Group, the takes place on gameday from Noon to the kickoff. It features a premium bar, all-you-can-eat food and at least 25 active NFL players and other celebrities will be on hand. 

And if you're a foodie, you'll really love the lineup of chefs. Headed up by the Food Network's Guy Fieri, the group also includes Michelin Star winner Akira Back, Chef Aaron May and Chef Brian Malarky.  The event will be hosted by "Fox NFL Kick-Off" host Charissa Thompson.

Hey, I get that's it's considered to be hip to dump on Fieri. But for what it's worth, I like the guy. I've interviewed him a couple of times over the years and he's always been open and thoughtful about what he does. And the other chefs on the bill are all excellent chefs and are guaranteed to crank out some food you'll be talking about for a long time.

It's also worth noting the event takes place outside the Super Bowl security zone, so you don't need a game ticket to get there. You do need $750, but in this case, you get what you pay for.
