Ovation Acquires Five Reality Shows From all3Media

Ovation has acquired the U.S. broadcast and digital rights for five shows from all3media International. The shows include episodes of the long-running series "Travel Man," "Antiques To The Rescue" and "Fake Or Fortune" as well as the art documentaries "Stealing Van Gogh" and "The KAWS Effect."

No premiere dates have yet been announced by Ovation.

Here is a rundown of the five programs:

Travel Man
Comedy actor, writer and comedian Richard Ayoade applies his unique world view to the perennial problem of getting the most out of a mini break. The result is Travel Man, a ruthlessly time efficient and relentlessly hilarious whistle stop tour of the world’s greatest mini break destinations. Accompanied by a new celebrity travel companion in every episode – the likes of Paul Rudd, Rebel Wilson, Kathy Burke, Chris O’Dowd – the list goes on – Richard’s stony faced appreciation of the planet’s premier tourist attractions offer up a very different – and very funny – kind of travel show – and along the way, you might even learn something.

Fake Or Fortune
Journalist Fiona Bruce teams up with art expert Philip Mould to investigate mysteries behind paintings.

Stealing Van Gogh
Andrew Graham-Dixon confronts the worlds of high art and seriously organised crime to uncover the true story behind the greatest art heist of the 21st century. In December 2002, two priceless and historically important paintings were stolen from the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam, in a brutal and audacious robbery by experienced, professional thieves.

But what happened to the masterpieces, and what is their use to criminals who can never sell or display them on the open market? Andrew travels across Europe, moving between the worlds of high art and low crime and meeting policemen, prosecutors and art experts to uncover just how the world of violent and organised crime makes extensive use of stolen art - and how lost masterpieces like these can be successfully recovered.

Antiques To The Rescue
Some of Britain’s grandest houses, halls and mansions are in dire need of restoration, but with crumbling walls, sliding roofs and rotting joists, it is going to take a lot of money. Antiques expert John Foster (Antiques Roadshow) goes inside to find the forgotten heirlooms and Master artworks that may be hiding within and could fetch the fortunes that are so desperately needed.

The KAWS Effect
"The KAWS Effect" profiles KAWS, one of the world’s leading contemporary artists, to uncover the impact the digital revolution has made on his art, fame and life. From teenage graffiti artist on the streets of New York, to creator of awe-inspiringly monumental sculptures, this film charts the rise to fame of the artist known only as KAWS. With a major exhibition currently pulling in the crowds at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park, KAWS’s work is now in demand worldwide. And his unlikely triumph owes everything to his canny understanding of how social media are changing the world of fine art for ever.
