Welcome To The Loft's Wordplay Weekend

Here at AllYourScreens, we're proud to be based in the Twin Cities, but most of our content tends to be aimed at a national (or international) audience. But there are times when a local event or performance is so cool and worthwhile that we are all over it.

This weekend Minneapolis aims to be the home of the biggest celebration of readers, writers, and great books that Minnesota has ever seen. It's going to be a "weekend full of famous authors and celebrated books; a weekend of readings, conversations, workshops, kids’ activities, demonstrations, and one-of-a-kind happenings with outdoor stages, cooking stages, book signings, quiet reading corners, boisterous parties, food trucks, beer tents, and books, books, books."

It all begins with a Friday night author concert with the Rock Bottom Remainders at the iconic First Avenue. Unfortunately that concert is all sold out, but AllYourScreens will be there covering it all. Saturday and Sunday are filled with events all day and into the evening. Click here to see the two-day schedule at a glance.

The Festival itself runs from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday (see the map below for locations). On Saturday there are also classes throughout the day at The Loft and a Lit crawl from 6:00-9:00 p.m. in Uptown.
