Review: 'Angry Britain'

Angry Britain
If you wanted to do a TV show that featured a lot of video of angry people without doing the traditional clip show, "Angry Britain" is the type of program you'd probably create. At its heart, it's basically just a show of viral video, wrapped up with some participant interviews and a bit of psycho-babble from some so-called "anger experts."

Granted, there are some fairly unbelievable video clips highlighted in episode one, including road rage footage that shows one driver getting even by running an offending van off the road and flipping it over in a ditch. But while the clips might be new, there isn't much here you haven't seen before.

So why watch the show? Well, since it airs on Channel 5 just in front of "Big Brother," it's probably a good choice for BB fans too lazy to turn the channel. But otherwise, it's just another clip show dressed up to seem as if it's some serious examination of British society. Although if you're going to watch someone try and explain road rage, you couldn't pick a better person to deliver the comments than the fetching anger therapist Emma Kenney.

Yawn.
